Connecting to SPU-STUDENTS (Chromebook, Lenovo Tablet, Non-Windows/Non-MAC Device)

This article provides alternative instructions for connecting to SPU-Students. Connecting from a Chromebook or a Lenovo Tablet would require following these instructions.

Body

Saint Peter's University permits students access to WiFi on campus via the SPU-STUDENTS network.  Below are alternative steps to connect your device to WiFi in the event the instructions in this article don't work or if you are using a Chromebook, Lenovo Tablet, or a device other than a Windows or Mac computer:

1)Disconnect from or forget the SPU-STUDENTS network, then reconnect using the following settings:

  • SSID:  SPU-Students
  • EAP Method: PEAP
  • Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPv2
  • Server CA Certificate: "Do not check" or "Default"
  • Domain: <leave blank>
  • Identity: students\<username>
  • Password: <password>

2)Leave “Anonymous Identity and all other fields blank.

3)If there is an “Advanced Options” tab or button, press it and verify the “MAC” field is set to “device”.  

4)Click on Connect.
