Blackboard Avatars allow you to share an image that will be visible to professors, students and classmates in your courses' discussion boards and other collaboration areas. This article will guide you through how to upload an avatar as a profile picture on Blackboard. 

If you are using a desktop or laptop computer, please follow the steps in the below video to add a profile picture: 

If you are using the Blackboard app on a mobile device, you can follow the steps at this link to update your profile picture.

Images must be less than 5 MB and at least 50 x 50 pixels in dimension. If your image is not square, it will appear stretched out. Acceptable file formats include GIF, PNG, and JPEG. Your new profile picture will be visible to others in your course when you post in Discussion Forums, Blogs, Journals and Wikis in Blackboard.
